The festival trends of 2024

Every year, new trends emerge when it comes to party supplies. At Halloween, for instance, we saw that large decorations are becoming more and more important, and the funny retro tracksuits were in short supply during carnival. With summer coming up, we have now picked out the trends for festivals, because when you think of summer, you think of dancing and partying in the sun at a great festival. At least, we do.

So what are these partygoers wearing this year and taking to the next festival?

1. Cowboy hat

It probably hasn't escaped your notice that the cowboy hat is becoming the trend of this festival season. This iconic hat is back in fashion, thanks in particular to Beyoncé's new album. A cowboy hat is cool and sexy at the same time, so it's the perfect accessory to pair with jeans and cool cowboy boots. Or make it boho-chic and pair it with a summer dress and sandals. Especially fancy hats with stones and glitter are hugely popular among female festival-goers.

2. Ski goggles

It may sound a bit strange as a summer trend, but ski goggles are totally hot this festival season. Preferably with lots of bling or in striking colours. They come in big, renowned brands, but fortunately there are also affordable versions that you can party with uninhibited. Whichever one you go for, you don't have to worry about losing them anyway, as the sturdy elastic band keeps them firmly on your head.

3. Halo crown

Another eye-catching trend this year is the graceful halo crown. This is a beautiful tiara, mostly gold-coloured, decorated with flowers, feathers and/or rhinestones. This accessory gives a festival outfit a divine finishing touch. Especially with pulled-up hair, the tiara stands out nicely and becomes a real eye-catcher. Creative festival-goers can also emphasise their own style by decorating the halo crown with some extra flowers for a boho look, for example.

4. Holographic

Finally, holographic accessories are a notable trend. You see many fanny packs, caps and hats in this eye-catching style. Due to the cool look and high 'space' content, you can see it a lot at raves and techno parties. The shiny effect is striking and completes the festival look for both women and men.

In short; the different trends are very diverse and therefore there is a great option for every festival-goer. The common denominator of these trends is that they are all accessories, which has the biggest advantage that they can be perfectly combined with your favourite outfit.
